Admission Requirements

Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Associate and Bachelor’s Degree Programs

Qualified high school graduates and transfer students are encouraged to apply for CalMU’s undergraduate programs. Admission requirements include: 

High School Diploma or Equivalent:

With an overall grade point average of 2.0 or better.

International Credentials:

If applicable, evaluation by an approved agency.

Official Transcripts:

From all previously attended academic institutions

English Proficiency:

For non-native English speakers.

Transfer Students:

Must have maintained at least a 2.0 GPA at previous institutions.

Graduate Admission Requirements

Master’s Degree Programs

Admission to our master’s degree programs is based on your academic background and qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree:

From an accredited college or university.

Official Transcripts:

From all previously attended institutions.

Minimum GPA:

2.5 overall GPA (3.0 for Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence).

Prerequisite Courses:

May be required depending on your academic background.

English Proficiency:

For non-native English speakers.

Doctoral Degree Programs

While enrollment is not currently open for our Doctoral programs, the requirements typically include

Master's Degree:

From an accredited institution with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Work Experience:

Typically three years of professional experience.

Letters of Recommendation:

Including one from a current supervisor.

Statement of Purpose:

Outlining research interests and professional goals.

Interview:

With program faculty.

Transfer Students

California Miramar University welcomes transfer students from accredited institutions. We strive to maximize your previously earned credits to help you complete your degree efficiently.

Minimum GPA:

2.0 for undergraduate, 2.5 for graduate transfer credits.

Accredited Institution:

Credits must be from recognized institutions.

Grade Requirements:

"C-" or better for undergraduate, "B-" or better for graduate courses.

Relevance:

Courses must be applicable to your chosen program.
