When searching for articles in Ebsco’s Business Source Premier and Academic Search Elite databases for your research, there is a great feature called My EBSCOhost that you can use to organize your research, as well as save articles and search strategies to use later. You can also set up search alerts on specific topics you are interested in that will automatically let you know when a new article on your selected subject area is added to the database. To use this feature you need to create an account while you are logged in to the EBSCOhost database.

After you create an account, you will have your own personal area to save searches and articles to use or share with others. Anything you save will remain until you decide to remove it. While you are signed in to your account you can access result list items, persistent links to searches, and saved searches. You can also organize your research into folders on various topics.

Following are some tips on how to format references and in-text citations using APA Guidelines, 6th edition. The 6th edition has made several important changes due to the increasing use of electronic sources.

  • If you retrieve articles from the EBSCOhost databases, Business Source Premier and Academic Search Elite, you can choose to have them formatted in APA style by choosing APA from the Dropdown Menu under Citation Format.
