Best Online MBA Programs
Testimonials from Student and Alumni
CALMU is a great place to go to if you want a world class MBA at a reasonable cost. I am a product of distant education and I can tell you although this school may not have the pedigree of a Yale or a Harvard, its academic program can go toe to toe with the best of them. I got my undergrad at a traditional brick and Mortar school and I can tell you that CALMU's professors are top notch. Not only, they challenge you with an academically fulfilling curriculum but also understand that students who choose to get a degree online are trying to balance a work and school life. Lastly, from a cost perspective the school's tuition is one fourth of what you would expect to pay elsewhere. I plan on graduating debt free with an MBA, and this not a statement many students can make. Give them a try and you will not be disappointed.
I would highly recommend CALMU to any adult learner looking to fit school in with a busy schedule.

Deciding which school to go to after 20 years was not an easy choice. I didn't want to be placed in groups where my grade depended on someone else's work and I wanted a completely on-line experience that I could fit in with my busy work and family life. CALMU offers that. The professors are very knowledgeable and the learning experience is perfect for adult students. The school works with students to make sure they get what they need from their learning experience. I would highly recommend CALMU to any adult learner looking to fit school in with a busy schedule.
I take one class online and the other on-ground and although I favor the classroom setting, I love the flexibility of online learning. CalMU is a winner!

I knew it was time to obtain my Masters, but I wasn't looking forward to an MBA program. As a retired veteran, I was thrilled to learn about CMU's Master's of Science in Strategic Leadership Program. With several leadership courses, an entrepreneurship, conflict resolution, coaching and mentoring course...along with several others, I knew this program would work for me. The professors have been amazing -- they challenge me constantly, and the small class size is so appealing. I take one class online and the other on-ground and although I favor the classroom setting, I love the flexibility of online learning. CalMU is a winner!
While working for CalMU, I decided it would be the best school for me to pursue my MBA.

While working for CalMU, I decided it would be the best school for me to pursue my MBA. I started in March 2009 and I opted for the San Diego Hybrid MBA. I explored the breadth and depth of business school curriculum, and discovered i love marketing and strategic management. I made good friends in business school and my classmates are doing really well in the working world. I worked hard and I graduated in December 2010! If I could do it all again, I would definitely choose to study at CalMU. I strongly recommend the San Diego Hybrid MBA at CalMU.
"I work full-time but still want to get a masters without having to quit my job. This place has one of the top 10 mba programs around the San Diego area where I work so I was hands down for it to begin with, not to mention the price was relatively reasonable (unlike many other pricier grad schools). Classes are only once a week and assignments are done online which provides much needed leeway for busy individuals to learn at their own pace. The instructors and administrative staff are also extremely kind and very very helpful. They provide you with all the resources you need to ensure that you're never out of the loop. And I absolutely adore the small classroom sizes. They allow for in-depth interactions with the instructor and other students. You get all your questions answered and gain a lot of insight on the way. The workload is manageable, but can be time consuming (they all have a level of difficulty to them) so you have to make sure to stay on top of it. Over all, it's a wonderful place to be, great classroom dynamics, and extremely qualified faculty. I won't ever regret choosing this place!"

I am a graduate student at CMU and I am impressed with their MBA program. CMU has quality instructors that are competent in their respective fields. The program is challenging and educational. Compared to other private universities, CMU's tuition is economical and provides great value.

This school has a great staff and they really go out of their way to make sure that you are catching up with your classes. I've been attending this school for almost a year now and i'm very pleased with the effort that they put in to their students success.
CMU is a great university!!! I've had access to excellent professors. They always make time for you and they are always accessible if you need them for extra help. Yes, coursework can be difficult sometimes, but the professors care about how you are doing in the class and want to ensure that you are absorbing the material. I've loved my professors and the classes I've taken here.
I was looking for total online program and CMU stood out. The staff is exceptional in their response when I have a question.they were efficient in getting me enrolled and assessing my credits from a community college I had previously attended. They continue to offer excellent support. I find the online material straightforward yet challenging enough to get me digging deeper to finish assignments, tests and papers. I recommend CMU to anyone who is looking for a total online program.
I attended CMU's Success Interview event which gave some really great tips on how to prepare and conduct yourself at an interview. The speaker was great and the staff at CMU is very enthusiastic.
Upon walking in the administrative office of CMU, I was immediately taken back by the friendliness and genuine interest of the staff, particular the Director of Operations.
Having retired as a senior officer in the military, and continuing with a successful second career, I chose to pursue a graduate level degree. I looked at some of the other universities in the San Diego area and even attended one of the more recognized universities but later dropped realizing that the other university is nothing but a degree paper mill and willing to accept any potential student that was willing to pay. What I found in the classroom at the other university was a hodge podge of professors that taught at an undergraduate level and essentially insulted my intelligence throughout my stay. It by no means was a graduate level class and I consequently dropped the program and left the university. Now let me introduce the university I should have chosen in the first place, California Miramar University! Upon walking in the administrative office of CMU, I was immediately taken back by the friendliness and genuine interest of the staff, particular the Director of Operations. Invited in her office, I explained my desire to take my education to another level and pursue a graduate degree, specifically an MBA. I was introduced to core class requirements and offered various electives that were required to achieve my specific degree path. I decided to pursue CMU because of the way I was treated and that was warmly and professionally. After two years of classes that were both thought-provoking and stimulating, I received my well-earned MBA. Throughout my time at CMU, I was challenged by the professors, elevated my ability to think in a broader perspective and given the opportunity to express myself and my opinions. My fellow classmates were all professionals who brought an intellectual insight to classroom discussions and projects. I cannot think of a better learning experience. CMU are pro military to both active duty and retired veterans. They submit paperwork immediately ensuring all benefits that the military are due are paid in full and on time. Never once did I have a problem with finance. I am so impressed with the university that I have begun a Master of Science in Leadership in an effort to obtain my second graduate degree. On numerous occasions, I have been recognized by government leadership for the different perspective I now bring to high level conferences due to the attainment of my MBA from CMU. I cannot speak enough positive thoughts about the university and recommend to all I encounter who are seeking an education at any level.
I've been impressed with the instructors that have real-life executive experience, and made valuable contacts as well as good friends with my fellow-students.

I enrolled in CMU's MBA program because I could balance it with my demanding job as a vice president for a local firm. They understand the time constraints we are under, and make it easy to learn and contribute online with their hybrid structure. I've been impressed with the instructors that have real-life executive experience, and made valuable contacts as well as good friends with my fellow-students.

United States is the birth place of Management studies and the best place to learn management qualities. I grew up in India and then moved to the United States. My aim was not only to earn a MBA degree, but to learn the subjects from core. I was searching for an university, perfect for working professionals and found the excellent reviews for California Miramar University. My experience here from the first day till now is awesome, everyone is extremely helpful and understanding. Professors are outstanding. As I've my MSc. in Applied Mathematics from University of Calcutta, my academic adviser has suggested me to opt Finance as my emphasize, which I found the best advice one can have.
I want to mention that I belong to a family of professors, my parents are professors. My father is in mathematics research, guiding students in PhDs, so he has visited lots of countries for conferences and met experts from those areas. Whenever those professors visited India I met them and gathered knowledge. I would say CALMU has added some more world class professors to my list of outstanding professors. I'm a fan of CALMU and I'm looking forward to continue my journey with California Miramar University to their DBA program.
I wanted to thank CMU and its staff ( particularly Ilana, Tami and Jodie) for a great networking event.
Aside from the inspirational speech of Nancy Drew, we all enjoyed meeting people from different background. Investment bankers, Engineers, Real Estate brokers, Entrepreneurs, students, etc were there to share their experiences. I could not ask for more.
Thank you CMU, keep up the great contribution to the San Diego community.

If you are seeking a distance- learning Masters program, I highly recommend CMU.
By Melvia Wong - July 07, 2011
"If you are seeking a distance- learning Masters program, I highly recommend CMU. I received an MBA with a concentration in International Business last June. It has opened doors to international consulting opportunities for me. In April 2011, I applied for and was accepted immediately in the Peace Corps Response Volunteer program in Armenia. Of course, I already had the advantage of being a Returned PC Volunteer but I know that having the required MBA assured my acceptance for this assignment as it will for future international consulting contracts. CMU's distance-learning program is concentrated and requires the student to be committed, dedicated, motivated, and to have the self-discipline to complete the course work and numerous research projects. In a long distance-learning environment, staff support is crucial. Ongoing support from the CMU staff and the Dean never let me down. They provided me with the necessary help and motivation to complete the program. CMU distance-learning programs also provide other benefits such as the convenience of studying on your own time schedule and saving money on gas. I especially liked CMU's personal touch."
