Admissions Process

The admission process at CMU has two simple steps:

  Step 1: Application

Complete an application for admission. Send your application, $25 application fee, and copies of supporting documents to the university. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact one of our admissions representatives at (858) 653-3000 x120 or toll free (877) 570-5678 x120.


  Step 2: Supporting documents

  • Have you earned a High School diploma or equivalent? Have you attended any other colleges or universities? If so, we need copies of your transcript(s). Once accepted we will need official transcripts, but copies are fine right now.
  • Military or veteran? If so, please include your DD214 and list of military training or schooling.
  • Job, family, or life experience that you want us to know about? If so, send us a resume, certificates, or other paperwork so we can learn more about your background and experience.

We admit students on an individual basis and take many factors into consideration.

Therefore, we do not require standardized tests!

We are looking for students with a desire for knowledge and learning. We want to make sure that you will be a good fit for CMU's distance learning program. We want to set you up to succeed and accomplish your academic goals. Our most important goal is that you graduate from CMU equipped to achieve success in your chosen career.
