What is the Military Spouse Discount?
California Miramar University has created a discount program for United States military spouses. The Board of Directors of CMU voted to create this discount in appreciation to those who are serving our country in the armed services and in recognition of the service and sacrifices made on a daily basis by military spouses.
The military spouse discount is for 50% of the tuition for the degree program. The discount is available to any military spouse who meets the qualifications for admissions to CMU. A copy of the applicant's military ID card is required with the application and applicant must demonstrate that their spouse is active duty. The discount is for tuition only. The discount does not cover textbooks or any other fees. To request this discount, contact the Office of Admissions.

It has been a number of years since I was in school. Is this really a good fit for me?
CMU is dedicated to its student's educational success and provides resources to help all students succeed. The average CMU student is starting or continuing college courses while raising a family or working full time. An added benefit for students in San Diego receiving the Military Spouse Discount is one-on-one faculty tutoring, mentoring, and the use of CMU's high tech computer lab, at no additional cost.
- What happens when my family gets relocated to a new city?
Many military spouses choose to study at CMU for this reason alone. Frequent relocations will never interrupt your studies because there are no geographic limits. Distance education allows you to take your education with you, wherever you go.
