The San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce is still the nonprofit business advocacy group that Alonzo Horton (founder) envisioned more than a century ago. San Diego North Chamber of Commerce

The San Diego North Chamber of Commerce mission is to be the leading business advocate for the region, dedicated to strengthening the economic environment by enhancing business growth and prosperity. Members of the California Miramar University 2006 Graduation Class had a special opportunity to attend the San Diego World Trade Center 2006 Annual Awards Gala. California Association of Private Postsecondary Schools

The California Association of Private Postsecondary Schools (CAPPS) is the oldest and largest association of private postsecondary schools in California with over 300 School and Allied Members who provide valuable vocational and professional training, products and services to Californians.
CAPPS works directly with the Governor's Office, the State Legislature, the Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education and the other regulatory entities. CAPPS has solid working relationships with the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC), EdFund, California Postsecondary Education Commission (CPEC), and accrediting commissions.
CAPPS provides professional and continuing education for school administrators, admissions representatives, and educators. CAPPS administers a scholarship program in conjunction with member schools enabling more students to attend private postsecondary schools in California. -- http://cappsonline.org
