About California Miramar University
Message & Mission
California Miramar University (CMU) is a small, private university, committed to pursuing high standards of academic excellence. CMU opened its doors in the Miramar community of San Diego, CA, in 2005. CMU is situated adjacent to the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.
CMU's Miramar Campus is located twenty minutes from San Diego's world famous venues including historic downtown Gaslamp District, world renowned San Diego Zoo, the beaches of La Jolla Shores, and the San Diego Convention Center. Furthermore, CMU is surrounded by some of the country's leading biotech, pharmaceutical, and telecommunication companies.
One of CMU's many strengths is our commitment to innovation and keeping up with the rapid changes in concepts, theories, and practices of today's corporate world. The faculty members at CMU drive the University's innovative capacity as experts in their fields because of their combined academic and professional knowledge and expertise. Approved by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education
The University is approved by the State of California to offer and confer the academic degree described herein, based on a determination that state academic standards have been satisfied under Education Code Section 94900.

The State of California's Department of Consumer Affairs has assumed the role previously played by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education.
